I liked some of the work of the old asbtract expressionists and found much of it rather austere hard to relate to. This is easy to relate to and yet still challenges the spectator to make some rational sense of it.Is it a landscape, or some Ernstian monster from the subconscious? It's the kind of paintng one can find things in.
